Debby Armstrong (Off ice coach)

Debby Armstrong is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa and has been living in Ottawa for the past 12 Years.

She teaches Ballet at Greta Leeming Studio of Dance, teaching various levels in the studio and choreographs for the Full Time & Part Time Competitive team. She is a fully registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance(R.A.D). Debby danced professionally for 10 years in South Africa with The State Theatre Ballet Company (formerly PACT, Now Joburg Ballet). She danced in many Corps de Ballet, Soloist, and Principal roles and worked with many world-renowned choreographers.

She also directed her own Ballet Studio for 10 years before immigrating to Canada. She attends courses for her CPD throughout the year and enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge of Ballet with all her students. She enjoys teaching students to use the science of the body in relation to dance. She is eager to share this knowledge and follow it through into skating, in the Off Ice Programme.

Debby is excited to be working with the March-Kanata Skating Club and is looking forward to working with the skaters and watching the students learn and grow.
