Started coaching in 1978.

My coaching philosophy

First and foremost, my goal is to infuse in all of my skaters, both young and the young at heart, enthusiasm for skating. I believe that in order for students to achieve their personal best, I need to have a consistent, positive, fun and encouraging approach. I focus on quality basics and techniques to provide my skaters with a solid background to achieve their immediate goals and future. I strive to provide my services to the best of my ability at all times, and believe that the “skating experience” offers life skills that transcend a person’s time on the ice. Skate For Life!

Coaching Experience

Over the past 43+ years, I’ve had the pleasure of coaching test skaters from Pre-Can Skate through to Gold level and competitive skaters from Pre-Juvenile to International levels. I’ve coached medalists in all disciplines and in all levels, including synchronized skating.
I’ve also had the pleasure of taking on the role of Skating Director in
several skating clubs.
